Using PVC reducers for plumbing; any issues?

Ok so I’m a noob at plumbing but I did an ok job with my 75 gallon, I saw a Bashsea Signature 30” I want to upgrade to so I can use a Klir DI7 for sale on Facebook but the drain is 1.5” and the sump is drilled with a 1” return hole.

I want to use it on my tank and then on a Nuvo 100 EXT I plan on upgrading to. Problem is most tanks are 1” drain and 3/4” return, I would think simply using reducers on both drain and return would work? Or is there problem / issues I should account for?

Reducers are totally fine. I actually have a bashea sump that i used reducers to reduce 1.5" drain to 1".

Also you drain in not really pressurized like your return.
