Hello, I am new to this forum and have one very important question for the expert aquarists. I currently have an unlimited supply of RO water available at a moments notice. I know that it is very important to have the water DI state. My question to you all is What can I use to remove all the minerals from the RO water without having to convert to RO/DI filtration system? Could I run a reactor with GFO to rectify this issue. I am looking for input on what type of equipment or supplements I could use to make this water ready for a saltwater tank. I should mention that the water supply I have is in 5 gallon bottles. Thank you

Do you know what is in the water before the RO?

Specifically, do you know if it is treated with chloramine? If so, one concern is ammonia in the RO effluent.

The primary thing I'd be significantly worried about is copper, and an RO will remove a lot of it, but not all of it.

Thank you for your reply. I will test the water for ammonia as well as do more research to see what specifically is in the water. Once, I find out, I will post my results.
