How would you suggest putting the matrix in? Do you use it in a media bag ? How much would i put in for a 110g ? I am thinking of putting it in my sump fuge area and don't know if I put it in loose or in some sort of media bag.
I was thinking of putting them in the fuge area and also some cheato.
Here is a pic of my sump its a 110 g tank was just going to lay them on the bottom.
Or get a media cup and fill it in the cup holder closest to the front not a super high flow in that cup most of the flow goes in the rear cup
Any advice would be great
Thanks

I prefer it in a bag so if you have to move it you can easily do so. It is essentially porous rock. Place it somewhere where it won't get clogged and every once and a while rinse or shake it in some tank water to clean it off. I prefer it in a dark area so that it doesnt get covered in coralline.

I agree, use a media bag. I initially had it loose in my sump, but after a while a lot of detritus got trapped/built up in and around it. Keeping it in a bag makes it easier to rinse the matrix and clean the sump when needed.
