Using Seneye for par and pur

Ok, so the device does work as designed (look at me 86-88% pur). The app (Windows 10) is the issue. You need to plug the device in before the app boots up, however when you install it the app boots at startup!! I'll figure out where the all starts (I already disabled shell:startup but it didn't stick).

For that you can check task manager > more details > start-ups > find seneye, right click on it and disable.

Regarding my reply, i just shared my experience and how frustrating it was to get the device to actually work in the first place. Second, since i tried it only for light measurement purposes, it did make sense to me to use a device built for that purpose only, plug-and-play is always more convenient in that case.

Hope the start-up clearance works out for you.

I did that and it wasn't in there. I also removed it from the shell:startup folder.

The app doesn't load in full anymore, but the icon loads in the lower right taskbar. I have to close it there first.

It is a good device for what you pay - they actually found a nice little niche and did a great job. Just my opinion.

Tip - if you haven't already get some help when taking the measurements. It is a bit cumbersome to use single. At least I thought so. I used the free measurement instead of top, bottom, and middle pre-set. The counter helps but for me the key was reaching over to click then rush to the tank and place. Asked my daughter to help and it was 10x easier.
I made a tool out of an old scraper

I don't know if I am really concerned with storing the measurements anyway. I'm just better trying to say the light intensity and placement. I don't mind just holding the device while watching the screen.
