I may have messed up and could use a bit of advice. I am getting an RO/DI filter in the future, but to start the tank I used 5gal jugs of spring water that I get delivered for my water cooler. I figured bottled water would be much better than tap. I’m hoping this will be okay as it’s already done. I’ve let the system run for a few days now and SG is 1.026. Ammonia is 0 (I haven’t started cycling the tank yet, waiting for Dr. Tim’s), NO2 is 0, and NO3 is between 0-5. Do you think I’ll be okay, or should I test something else?

I suggest that you buy a TDS meter to enjoy this fun safely.
The TDS value for your consuming water should be less than 5 ppm.
But up to 20 is not a problem!

Agreed, I think you are good for cycling. I think your SG is a little high, but others my not agree - I tend to be in the 1.024 range. I think spring water is fine to start with, and I agree it is better than tap water. I would however make the investment on an RO/DI unit sooner rather than later. You can get a good one from Bulk Reef Supply for not too much money. My concern with spring water is often times the very thing that makes it taste good (minerals, trace elements, etc.) can potentially throw your tank off. The beauty of RO/DI water is that you pretty much start with pure water and you control what is added to it with your chosen salt mix - so there is no question on what is in your water.
