I will be using a stainless steel table to hold a Fiji cube 32 gallon tank, with the sump on an aluminum dunnage rack. I know that I need to paint the top of the table to prevent rusting. Do I need to paint the entire table? What about the dunnage rack? Do I need to enclose it or will a wooden shelf covering the top of it be ok? Thanks

I would just paint over it all. Better to do it now than later having to take the tank down. It will take some time but depending on the grade of the aluminum it will eventually rust.

Good quality SS shouldn’t really rust. But that’s few and far between these days. I would paint over it all like said above. Easier to do it now than later. Make sure you use a primer before painting or it will just peel right up.
