So I’ve been trying a feed distribution system where I have a feeding ring above the sump return pump and add feed (frozen, pellets).
After a few mins the pellets/frozen food starts to sink, in small distributed portions, whereupon the return pump sucks it up and launches it into the tank through the return, in a steady light stream of feed over ~10-20 mins. (Time is representative of the distribution of feed sinking, not a massive quantity of feed).
This seems to get a strong response from the fish, and gets food to them all, especially the few that don’t like coming to the surface.
Is this a horrible idea I should stop?
/FOWLR tank.
