Using the Wave Maker in JBJ 28 Gal Nano Pro

Getting ready to setup a the above tank. I have read a few ideas on the wave maker included with this tank. The return pumps are 266 gph. I also have two Hydro Koralia Nano 425. I have read some articles that say it is best to use the wave maker with the return pumps and others where they say use it with the Hydro Koralias and leave the return pumps running instead of alternating. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this.

Also is there any reason to add the Hydor Flo Rotating Water Deflectors to the return pumps if I decide to use them with the wave maker.
