utters never seem to open

ive got over 50 different kind of zoas and palys but only have problems with utters?

they never seem to want to ever open. ive tried dipping them a couple times, move them around the tanks but nothing. im at a loss

are they more sensitive then others? anyone else have this issues with them.

I think you should take a closer look. Something is bothering them. Check for chalices or torches that has long sweepers. Also two hours after lights are out take the zoas out in a bucket and turkey baster to blast it.
Look for nudi or spiders since they survive most dips.

they are isolated with two other zoa frags so nothing should be stinging them? ill have to take a look when lights are out

My experience with Utters is that they tolerate a wide range of conditions without much difficulty. Was it a Lugol dip you performed? I would guess something is bothering them as well.

My experience is that they don't like a lot of flow or to be blasted with light. Out of all the palys IME they were the most sensitive to placement in the tank.

I used coral RX for the dip

How long have you had them? And the other two zoas?

had them for about 3 months now. all my other ones ive had for years and are all doing great.....
