I have an led strip light that has 390nm UV (custom made by a commercial company) because I was interested in some of the same issues as the OP.
I found that the UV did NOT make my corals fluoresce very well on their own and that the 420nm to 450nm spectrum made the corals fluoresce much better.
I still used the UV strip for almost a year and I saw no substantial change it the colors or intensity of the colors in my corals.
I got bigger changes in color and intensity by increasing or decreasing the overall PAR and by changing the mix to more blue and less white light.
This wasn't a very scientific experiment, just my experiences as I've played with my led lighting over the past 7 years. And BTW, I've had a PAR meter since before I had leds!
