I have coppersafe dosage at around 2.5 ppm in a 25 gallon QT. Didn't pay attention and put a small 5 W JEBO subversive UV in it and ran for about 3 hours. I then found out it cannot run together so I unplug it...

What should I do right now? Large water change with pre dose copper? Fish are still eating well...

Retest your Cu level. Odds are the UV had little to no effect on it.

I do not know this, actually. I know it’s a nono, though.

If it were me to be safe I’d do a large water change. When in doubt...

So does plan of 1/3 to 1/2 water change (no copper pre dose) and put some poly filter in it to reset the copper level sound good?

Glad I past only one week of full copper treatment. I am also doubtful that cheap and small 5 W intank UV will have any large break down of my coppersafe...but need to play on the safe side.

That strategy should pull all of the copper out of the water, if that's what you're wanting to do.
