As soon as my tank was well established I turned off my UV, I felt as if it was killing good bacteria with the bad. Everyone has their own way of reefing, only time I used the uv is if my fish caught ich.

I have my UV on all the time I just called the directions on any kind of additive I buy if it says turn UV skimmer sterilizer everything off I turned it off if it it mentions nothing about this I do some research As You Are if it says you can stay on I leave it on I'm not sure entirely on the question you're asking about the Red Sea as I've never used it I would recommend following the manufacturer's instructions are reaching out to Red Sea to find out

Just leave it on you will be fine, there’s nothing in it to kill as such.

I run mine 24/7 in both systems

You only need to turn them off if your adding bottled bacteria or similar.

My uv runs 24/7,
I only turn off my skimmer for 1/2 an hour when I dose redsea ab+.
