Hey all,
When I bought my redsea 350 I knew it had metric piping. However, it makes it a sticky situation if you are like many wanting to run a manifold for equipment. There are ways around it like buying the union replacement part etc. However, I opted to do the stock piping so if there ever was an issue I wouldn’t void a warranty.
My solution was run a separate pump dedicated for the manifold. Some people have done this as well. However, my issue came when I built the manifold and piped my UV back to the return. I didn’t want to pipe it back into the line as discussed so I put the piping as close to the suction side of the pump as I could. I did not think of micro bubbles being an issue though as they were.
It dawned on me I had this part from an old tank when I had an aquamaxx hob. Problem solved...no more microbubbles. This thing came in hand and glad I saved it even years later.
