UV at Night Only?

What are people's thoughts on running UV at night only? My chiller is running quite a bit and the UV isn't helping. Anyone see any problems with running at night only?

Anyone doing this see noticeably worse results compared to 24/7? I love the water clarity it's currently providing while going 24/7.

If the pump and flow are going and only the light goes off , I don’t think it would be an issue.

Typically folks are running UV during the day and then off at night in reef tanks to promote access to food in the water column that only comes out at night. There are some threads here about it.
