I have used this uv light for 12 hours or maybe less and I checked the bulb for leakage and saw this white "corrosion?" On the spiral. Is this normal? It's an aqua medic helix max 2 9 watt

Was the bulb wet and was the white stuff present prior? (I can't really tell what it is from the image).
There was a little condensation on the inside of the glass. I don't know if this was white before use. I have used it straight out of the box

If you're concerned or not comfortable using the bulb, I'd contact the LFS where you purchased it or manufacturer for a replacement (you may have to source a new bulb on your own in the interim).

I run an AquaUV and both the bulb it came with and spare bulb were dry (no condensation or particulate matter on the tubes).
