UV filters or other tricks to remove glare?

New to DSR camera, have a cannon t6i and macro is in the mail.

My question, is there a way to remove or reduce the glare from the lights?

Example- in picture.

Are ports the only way to remove glare from lights?

it is, or compose the shot with out the reflection, move the light turn off the light or tape over it or frame it so it can be cropped out.

edit, assuming its the reflection i see in the shot you are referring to.
