I'm battling dinos in my DT and I've almost got them gone. I think if I ran UV for a few months I could stamp them out for good. I'm looking at the Eheim reeflexUV 800. However the documentation doesn't have any recommendations on flow rate. I'm looking for advice on what my flow rate should be.

I've got a 425XL and I'm looking to get a small stand alone pump I can hook up to with some flexi tube and drop into my sump. I've heard over and over getting the flow rate right is crucial to UV working properly. Can anyone help with determining what size pump should I get to feed this UV that will be effective on dinos?

I know this is old but for reference: https://eheim.com/en_GB/aquatics/technology/uv-sterilizer/reeflexuv/reeflexuv-800

  • Eliminates torbidity caused by algae or bacteria
    reeflexUV 350 = Maximum flow capacity: 400 l/h
