UV gph?

What about something like that?
If your going to go that way you should switch the hoses to avert bubbles gettin trapped in the top of the UV . I can’t tell if you have the UV in the water and if it is it’s not imo a very safe situation . Water and electricity with a piece of equipment that’s not designed to be submerged is a recipe for disaster. What happened to using the manifold system with the UV outside and above the sump . At this point to keep you from making , imo a possible dangerous situation I would suggest you to speak to someone near you that can assess your needs and guide you to a safe resolve . Do you have a lfs nearby ? Fellow experienced reefer ? Electricion ? Also you would benefit from possibly using a gfci and maybe a grounding probe for your safety. If you do In fact have that unit in the water that wasn’t from any help or suggestion from me . I would have never recommended hooking it up in the Water . It wouldn’t be safe .

Its an example picture of the setup and not my setup. I dont agree with the UV being in the water im just saying if that setup would work

Out of the water located safely above the sump but reverse the hook up ( as I stated earlier ) and yes it can work however running it direct from the return pump thru the UV to the tank will not allow you to adjust the contact time the water has in front of the bulb . Not the way I would go but if your happy doing it that way is all that matters at this time . You can try it that way but if it doesn’t work for your needs you can always redo it and hook it up to a manifold .

Btw what about if i put the pump inside the main display tank, and hide it behind the rocks and make closed loop system is that a bad idea

No worries I’ll try to help ! . First don’t think that’s the look you were going for when you started. second let the filter trap the larger particles before going through the UV it not only would be more efficient but keeps the quartz sleeve cleaner longer . You really what your tank to look nice without all the gear n it . You have a nice sump you should utilize it .
