I've heard a number of different opinions, please let me know you're experience with the different colors in a full spectrum led.

Green and red i keep low and i keep my UV rather high though i hear it promotes algae growth..

Thanks for input. The reason I ask is because i have 0.05 phosphates and 2-5ppm nitrates. Still have some algae growth but running UV 100%

I have a channel (diy led fixtures) consists of red, green, pink, cool white and violet, driven at 600ma for 6 hours. No problem so far. No algae issue. No3 is below 5, po4 below 0.1 (not sure actual value).

I'm curious about the UV because I have been running reds and greens really low

UV won't last when driven above 300ma. I tried and only lasted slightly more than a month before the lens blackened. Not sure if branded one lasts longer. Mine was generic 3w led

Im using an AI hydra 52 and my UV is in the 80% range.. i did see a good amount of algae in the beginning couple months of the tank but it has subsided since then.

UV aka Violet or Hyper Violet is a primary Grow LED at 410-420nm it hits the corals peak photosynthetic spectrum. It also provides an awesome actinic color pop.

Red is also in the Grow Spectrum but corals below 30 feet do not get it as its blocked rather quickly by water...To much can promote nuisance algae as these thrive in shallow water...I like a little to enhance the coral looks, 660nm Photo Red tends to make the corals look better than the standard 630nm Red...

Green is rather useless by itself as there is plenty already in the Cree Cool White. Below is a graph of the Cree Cool, Neutral and Warm X Series LEDs

Green Combined with Red and Blue can provide any color including White... This is useful in perfectly tweaking the looks of your Reef.
