UV in over flow

Anyone's ever pulled uv sterilizer in there over flow?
Was thinking of doing it for a frag tank piped to main display.

Anyone's ever pulled uv sterilizer in there over flow?
Was thinking of doing it for a frag tank piped to main display.

If it will fit, then the only thing would be controlling it's flow with a ball valve or gate valve. Servicing the UV might be a issue in the overflow as well down the road.

all of my UV's have been plumbed to the outlet of the overflow. that way i am guaranteed that all of the water leaving the display and going through the sump has been processed by the UV, and the skimmer has first crack at removing anything killed or broken down by the UV.
