Anybody run a UV in their saltwater storage container? I started doing this as I had an extra small UV. Wondering if it helps?

if the container is clear maybe, might stop algae but to what other purpose you need one in there, I dunno
following curiously

Can’t see any value. Maybe a waste of power.
I use UV in the DT water column to reduce pest algae’s in the water itself.
The good stuff is on the hard surfaces, not much in water.
What’s stuck to sand, rock, etc the UV has no effect on.

I mean it’s not hurting anything but it’s pretty much accepted that unused, non-ultraviolet irradiated artificial sea water is just fine the way it is. I would just add the UV to your display system. If you already have a UV on the main system, you could run one as high flow and one as low flow, killing to birds with one stone, so to speak.
