Are you guys having any problem with diy UV leds I bought 8 of them less than 2 years ago and they just burn out . Any good brand recommendation to replace them so they can last longer that 2 years.

700mA is thier max.

Also they produce more heat than the Cree X Series so thermal management must be considered.

I've been running my P2N-U 410nm using BJB solderless connectors, 700mA meanwell driver and HeatsinkUSA Heatsink.

Approaching two years without a problem.

it was only 350 mA I was running them and I use Arctic thermal compound and heatsinkUSA so absorbing the heat is out of the question. The brand was UV Semi Led are the newer version is better ?

which version is better to run them at 700 mA ?
3 Watt True Violet LED Version 2.0
OR
3 Watt Hyper Violet LED - Dual Core Version 2.0 ??????????????

Heat doesn't matter with regards to the lenses. The lenses used by the Chinese is PMMA - a plastic that is damaged by lower violet light, turning it brown. The lenses have to be made of silicone or else they will turn brown 100% of the time no matter what current they are ran at or how hot they are allowed to get.

are this second generation ones ? any suggestion for good UV emitters what is your recommendation ?
