I just bought a Coralife Turbo-Twist 6x 18 watt UV sterilizer for my 90 gallon tank. The directions say I need to get a pump that is 200 - 400 gph. That is a big range. If I go 200 gph I will get more contact time with the light. If I go 400 gph I can treat a lot more water. Should I just go 300 gph and call it a day?

I'm looking for pump suggestion, both gph size and brand.

Thanks.

Im not familiar with how effective this UV is but if u want to kill parasites, you need a slower gph around 200. If u want to kill algae, u will want it faster like 400.

That’s right. Closer to 200 means more sterilization; 400 likely just means clarification.
