Hi everyone !! I've been reading on UV Lights and I read on how some people have them on timers and not on 24 hours. I currently have a 35 gallon and have a 7 watt UV Light. Is it fine if I leave it on for 24 hours or should I put in on a timer for about 12 hours more or less per day ? What do you guys think ?

I use it 24h and never had a problem. The bacterias are mostly at the live rock and sand bed.

I have mine on 24/7 too, mines undersized for my tank because no one could explain to me why it's rated for 1000's of litres in a pond but only half of my quarium size when used in a tank, Needless to say it cleared my water up crystal clear. maybe they sized them like that for parasite sterilisation I don't know, but for clarity it worked.
