So I plumbed in a UV Light on my new system and was wondering weather it should be ran 24/7 or does it do better on a light cycle? I ran one years ago but don't remember what I did. Any suggestion is welcomed.
Depends if you think you are at risk for anything... I run mine when adding new fish or just every once in a while. Especially if I were to see any signs of rich or other parasites
you can keep it on 24/7 but keep in mind that the UV does not discriminate between good and bad bacteria.... I would run it 12 on and 12 off...to maintain good balance.
