I purchased a uv serilizer for my tank im confused on the plumping on how I should run it..
If i add it onto the pump return back to the main display back into the line pressure will not flow correly threw uv

My last resort is to add a loc line over the rim of the back of the tank straight from the uv

Looking for advice or how to correct my issue

Evening,

I see you have a flow meter so that can help a lot in tuning in the UV. What are you trying to accomplish with the UV, algae or parasite control? That will affect your flow rate. The slower the flow, the longer the contact time. What pump do you run. The way it looks now you need a gate or ball valve on the main line to help divert flow to the UV.

Put a ball valve at “X” and keep it shut. Only to open when you’re servicing the UV.

I like to take water from tank, through uv, back to the tank with dedicated pump and lines.
Absolutely true. My "dedicated" pump is my return pump with the single purpose of returning water from the sump to display tank.

In Sump COR20 > DELTEC UV 80W > 1" Flow Sensor > Display Tank.

Flow rate adjusted accordingly by APEX to do Algae or Protozoa.
