UV maintenance?

Besides changing the bulb what kind of maintenance does a UV need ? Clean the glass sleeve ? How long in-between

I usually replace the sleeve when I replace the bulb…

Mine needed it every 3 months. If the glass isn't clear it doesn't work.

You can either replace or clean the sleeve in a solution of 1:1 vinegar and RO water. This way any deposits can be cleaned away from the sleeve. Deposits on the sleeve not only reduce the efficiency of the UV but they can actually lead to hot spots which could crack the sleeve and then kill your bulb.

Ok so no cleaning it or anything. Cool and I figured the bulb like 1 time a year ? I run mine 24/7

Bulb should be once a year. Cleaning may be more often than that. One thing you can do is order a replacement sleeve and after running UV for a month check how dirty it is. If it's bad replace the sleeve and clean the other one. This way you just rotate sleeves and you can leave the dirty sleeve to soak in the vinegar solution or even straight vinegar.

Depending on your setup you may be able to longer between needing the clean the sleeve.

Ya I will look today. It's been 3 months so I'll check it out and I'll get a feeling when it should be done.
