Hi I am curious if the UV is worth using on Kessil lights for coral growth? I really like the 0 on the color spectrum as it gives that nice deep ocean blue but if I turn the UV up along with that it takes away from that blue. I can't find much information about the UV and coral growth, from what I've read it's mostly just there for aesthetic. Does anyone know if the UV would help with coral growth or not?

It might depending on if you are hitting the par levels you need or not

I'm running 0 color 65 intensity on a 20" deep tank with 2 kessil ap9x and 2 kessil ap500x

I definitely use the uv, I have 2 tanks one with 360x's and one with the ap9x, and I pump the uv on both.

If you're not using the violet channel you're missing out on a whole spectrum of light that can be utilized by corals. I usually try to match the violet channel to my intensity.

Definitely use the violet. It's not actually true UV, but it will help a lot. Careful as on my Kessil A500X, when I increased the Violet, the PAR went up exponentially.
