Hi,
I need some suggestions for brand and size UV for 300 gallon tank.

Thanks

In my opinion an effective size uv sterilizer for a 300g tank will have to be so big and cost so much its not even worth it put your hard earned money in something else.

If it were inline it would have to be effective at something like 3,000 gallons per hour if you are cycling your tank at 10x its volume.

Hello,

I use two green killing machines (the largest ones ) in my 240. They are simply amazing and not super expensive, like 79.00 each. They are very well worth it, will they solve all problems no, but every bit helps. I install one in my sump tank, and then one behind my rock work where it’s srill easy to get to, but not seen. If they don’t fit, just install both in the sump. They come with their own power supply bulbs, and power head to give you proper flow. So no need to tap into your return lines etc. I found mine at petsmart and have been great.

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're looking for a UV sterilizer that can tackle algae and bacteria, as well as Protozoa, the Pentair HO 50 watt is one of your best options. This is not a small nor cheap unit. It's 30" long with a 6" diameter.

Good news is that it's on sale today at BRS:

If you're just looking to keep your water a bit clearer, you may be able to get by with a smaller and cheaper unit.

The Pentair High Output Smart UV would be a good choice IMO.

Emperor Aquatics SMART UV 40watt or 65watt. I have the 40watt on my 255

I have an aqua 57watt for my 150gal when I feel the need to run it. Seems to help

Just FYI...Emperor Aquatics is the old name for Pentair.

Oh ok. Makes sense. I actually just acquired my Emperor Aquatics and was surprised that every time I googled it, it took me to Pentair. LOL.
I really like mine. They make great UV sterilizers.

So is that chart foraqua or pentair? 1200gph seems extreme for 25 watt, 30,000 uuwwww, what is classic
