Just curious. Im about to plumb a uv sterilizer into my system and was wondering what the best setup would be? Running it from the manifold and to the sump seems lime it would resterilizing the same water or am I wrong. How should I run it?

I believe the best connection would be to put it on a hospital tank. I don’t believe in sterilizers on DT’s. Not only are they detrimental to the good things in your water, even if they did do something beneficial, they are always undersized with too fast a flow rate.

i have one plumbed on my sump with a 200gph pump running the 36 watt turbo twist uv sterilizer and 2 mag 18 return pumps running from my sump into my returns so the water is being turned over very rapidly (2 1.5 inch drains and 2 1 inch returns ) never would have ran one before but picked it up for a steal and now i would never run with out one. the water is cyrstal clear and i love my sterilizer
