UV Sterilizer and Copepods

Thinking about adding a UV Sterilizer to my system to clear a bacterial bloom. Will this have a negative affect on the copepod population that I'm encouraging to thrive?

The amount of copeods affected would be minimal but anything that goes through the UV will be harmed.. I typically only use it temporarily when needed for issues such as yours, it only takes a couple days for UV to clear a bacterial bloom then just turn it off.

I guess it depends on what kind of pods you are cultivating. Most are substrate dwellers so really a very minimal impact. If water column swimmers then the impact would be greater.
