Is this method viable? Seems like a great idea, but on the other hand seems like the flow rate would be too high for it to kill off any bacteria, protozoa, etc.?
 
IF there is enough UV exposure it should work fine. One reason they put UV inside of PVC tubes is to shield/shade the light from hitting non-target receptors in the environment. I would presume the reactor chamber in their system is also closed to prevent light leaks?
