Hello all, I have a 55 gallon and I have ostreopsis dinos. I am looking for a uv sterilizer that is less than $100 that comes with a pump and is a relatively small size. Anything helps, I am just exhausted looking at all of the different things that could work and my tank isn’t getting any better.

I use this one. $50. happy on my 100 gallon total volume system. Side benefit..i put it in my fuge to move stuff around.

I have looked at this one as well. Does it kill dinos? Or is it just algae and such.
Its a sterilizer. Technically doesnt kill any of them (well, i am sure it kills SOME). It sterilizes them and prevents them from reproducing. All sterilizers work generally the same. Yes, some are better than others but if you are looking for a Sterlizer under $100 bucks, there are only a couple of other options out there. The bigger issue is home much contact time does the water have with the UV radiation. I have a larger one that I bought on my nano and it is over kill. But that one was more expensive. I didnt like it because i had to plumb it where as the one above..i just put directly in my fuge.

Ok, I didn’t know that. But would it still work to sterilize the dinos? I just need to make sure as I have heard otherwise from others about the coospider.

Less than 100 is a tough find for anything you won't end up replacing in a year. I tried the Jup @NJTaxMan has ( not knocking ya if it works for you then great) and it busted on me twice, after getting the replacement. I have had 2 Coralife Turbo Twist before that one, each lasting 10 years. And have now purchased a third. You'd be looking at about just under 200 bucks plus a small pump at probably 40 bucks. I just wouldn't cheap out here. I've battled Dinos and Cyano once each, each time the UV was the workhorse that solved it. Best of luck.

Just saw this lol....there it is. Buy it OP.

Those above pretty much kill algae. Its a gamble if dine will be gone when adding a UV unit.
Theres a simple method that works:
Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15%) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly
