UV sterilizer gaskets lubricant

I have a UV sterilizer used on the red sea 350. It was time to Changed the bulb and the instructions for my UV sterilizer recommends to LUBRICATE the gasket. However, the instructions do not sugest the type. My question is: what lubricant is safe to use? My tank is Saltwater reef tank. Has mostly lps corals, invertebrates, 9 fish (small).
