UV STERILIZER HELP

When I plug my uv in, it takes a few attempts unplugging plugging back in for the bulb to come on. When it does it goes bright for a second then dulls down but is still lit. Is any body else having this issue? Or is this normal? I'm running 1400 LPH through it with max flow at 1900.

I would suspect your ballast is going bad. It should not take 2-3 times to light the bulb.

The flow rate won’t have anything to do with how the bulb works.
What brand and model UV are you running?

I realize this is a fairly old thread, but did you get it working properly? Was just reading about vectons last night and seems they can be touchy. Is it plugged into a surge protector? Apparently the initial draw when they turn on can make them flicker and stall if it is. They recommend no surge protection. Also, bulb contacts can be a little loose fitting so you have to make sure they’re secure. I can try to dig up the info I found if you still need to troubleshoot.
