UV sterilizer in AIO tank?

Hi everyone. I have a RSM C 130 tank. It is an all in one tank with a rear filtration chamber. I would like to incorporate a UV sterilizer into the rear chamber.

I want the UV to serve 2 purposes: 1) Water clarity 2) Kill off any floating algae/dinos (God forbid i get dinos)

Would something like the following work? Or are these scams?

I am not interested in buying or using the big bulky cylindrical UVs, if these smaller ones work then I would be happy. If not, then no UV for me.

I have a redsea e170 aio. I have had a up since about a month in. Works great for me.
I use the Aqua ultraviolet 15w hang on.
