UV sterilizer light

I have never had a UV sterilizer in my fish only system with sump / fuge and was wondering what the thoughts are from the forum member on the necessity/benefits of using one. They seem to be reasonably priced so if there is a clear need for one I would like to make the purchase. If the main benefit is clear water, that has never been an issue with my system.

It can help with killing algea blooms and makes water a lot clearer. But it will not help with disease control.
