Hello everyone! Long time no post.

I’m installing a UV Sterilizer on my waterbox 145.5, and I want to know if there are any issues with plumbing it the way I have diagrammed below. one of my wife’s requirements is that from the outside the tank looks clean, and I think this is the best way I can fit it inside the stand. The doors close with it like this. Also I think this has the benefit of if the pump gets turned off but The light on, it will remain full of water.

let me know if you see any potential issues with plumbing it this way!

also please disregard the precariously placed DOS

When a UV is mounted horizontally like that, I do not think you want it perfectly level; trapped bubbles will have no where to go. Incline it slightly.

I had to mount mines outside my tank on the side. Due to the bubble issue

You are fine as the inlet and outlet are up. You shouldn’t trap any air. Assuming this is attached to your main return pump it should work well. If you can put a few degrees of incline towards the out side of the UV that will help any air to escape but not necessary.
