I have a 300g tank that am going to set up as a reef tank. Can some one give me the pros and cons between the two.

Ozone is far more effective in killing off parasites , water is clearer with it too . UV will kill micro fauna and phyto . but not parasites unless they are exposed for a very long time . But I am no expert thats just how I see it

With the ozone going into the skimmer how do you filter the ozone from the air for safe ops.

Can I suggest neither?
Both have their advantages of course. As above.
I thought about both for my 240 reef, and had UV on my old freshwater.
I have neither.

From my experience everyone I have talked to, the hassle / risk / expense was really not worth it.
Without BOTH enough dwell time and turnover, both are useless.
Which for a 300G means some sizable equipment.
Ozone is tricky to get the flow right, and dangerous if vented wrong.
UV lights need replacing a lot and use up quite a bit of power.
