I'd yes as well I've run both with and without I prefer with. The water stays awsome with one.

Yes sir...helps with algae growth and makes water...super clear...

This. I really noticed the difference with the water in a white bucket. Before using the UV the water would have a yellowish tint after using the UV the water was clear no tint at all.

A uv may help with floating algae in the water column. don't count on it to help with parasites and other nasties. not enough contact time with the water.
