Uv Sterilizer

Hey guys I'm new here I've been running a 75 gallon with a 20 gallon sump setup for about 9 months now and I'm having problems with brown algae so I've been thinking about setting up a UV sterilizer. What I'm wondering is what wattage I should go with? And is bigger necessarily better when it comes to sterilizer?

From what I have gathered it is more about adjustability to flow that matters. 8 watts is good start. BRStv has a good video about UV sterilizers. Check it out on YouTube.
