Highly debating installing this on my 125 g with 55g sump. First time dealing with ich or velvet and cyano all at the same time any advice?

What’s that made out of? If it’s not plastic or titanium, I wouldn’t use it.
I run UV on every system I have had, mainly for water clarity. IMO UV only helps and won’t actually cure anything.

Yea im not expecting it to be a majic cure all but definitely want it to help

12gpm is too slow and it’s not meant to run on a tank. It’s meant to install on a house water system. If you’re going to spend $100 on this, save a little extra and buy a correct unit made for tanks

When I think of that thing for a saltwater tank I think, “Danger!, Will Robinson!” (Not to mention it being not much help in a 125.) Save your money for a nice Pentair 40W down the road. Best wishes! :)

So if it goes to slow, what do you think the consequences would be, i would think it neutralizes more because of more exposure time

That's a house unit. The saltwater will eat it alive, they are usually only 304 stainless and crappy 304 at that.

Look for a used big boy model or even use a Chinese model (jebao, sunsun, aquatop). Watch the Chinese model like a hawk and don't run too little flow through it. But, Definitely not use that house model.

I ran a aquatop 36w until recently, partially hard plumbed in a vertical setup. It did just fine at +-200 gph. I went to a AquaUv 40w, does the same thing, with similar flow rates, they just cost money new. Keep looking you can come up on a used, good brand one.
