I purchased a UV unit for my 220 total water volume a 90 watt unit. Do you guys think that is way to oversized ?
I have dealt with Dino in the past

I have had to go to war with Dino's in the past as well and IMO I say bring the big guns. I would just research and see the correct flow rate through that size UV you need to have in order to use the UV to control the Dino's. I was fed up battling Dino's that I was getting ready to put 100Watts on my 120 gallon frag system. And I still will if I have to but right now I am running 55 watts on that system and it is keeping them in check.

overkill is a good thing sometimes. i would say UV is one of those. you should be fine. just check the flow rates like livewire said & your good to go.

My actual tank is only 180 not including sump you think it’s way to big ? Or would a 57 to 60 watt be enough
