I'm just starting to see these for sale from online vendors. 3D printed little boxes lined with square holes along the sides to let micro-crustaceans in for something or another. What the ..... ?

I have not seen the add. Why wouldn’t they work?

Use coral rubble in an onion sack.

I am presently experimenting with sandwiching Ulva between sheets of 7 count knitting fabric. Ulva came from zooplankton reactor grow out tanks.

I have one and I think it works. It works just as good as something you can make, or even just as good as live rock since pods love to hide from the light.

As an avid sportsmen, I study predator prey behavior. Pods hide in the dark, so as not to be food for everybody else. Both amphipods & copepods are abundant in 2 qt HOB acrylic box at 400 GPHR with 300W MarsHydra growlight.
