I was just wondering can my fish go without eating for 5 days? Bought a autofeeder but the stupid thing is to big to fit between the my wood cover and rim of the tank.

Mine do all the time... I suppose it depends on what kind of fish you have, but my pink spotted watchman has went for 2 weeks without food and had no ill effects... and everywhere says they need to be fed multipled times daily.

I have the following fish: pair of clowns, green chromis, yellow tang, blue hippo tang, six line wrasse, watchman goby. Lots of hair algea in the tank they can eat, I think they would be alright.

I don't know about the diet of hair algae the only things that will possibly eat that is the tangs what about the rest? Dr foster's has some slim line feeders. my cat sitter feeds mine i feel so bad she has to feed three tanks.. I portion out the food for her though.. 5 days you should be fine just bulk them up before you go.

your chromis will be your only major problem as they are plankton feeders but five days should be alright i think.

Well sounds like Ill just feed them everyday instead of everyother day. The strong ones will survive. Thanks for the posts
