I'm thinking about repurposing a dosing pump as a feeder while out of town.

I have an Eheim feeder which is great for dry food, but it is useless for something like thawed mysis shrimp.

My idea is defrost several cubes of mysis shrimp into a container and use a dosing pump to feed while I'm away.

Has anyone ever tried this?

I haven't fed all too much frozen food in my time, so I might be wrong but wouldn't it start to break down and go bad? Do you have a plan to keep it chilled or something so it doesn't go bad while it's sitting in the container? Maybe live food in a bubbled container might work though so it won't start to spoil?
