My partner and I went out of town for a little over 4 days and everything was lookin great. All the levels were near perfect. When we came back yesterday, the water was super cloudy, our corals and two anemones were looking rough and our cleaner shrimp was found dead at the bottom of the tank, possibly due to a bacterial bloom.
Our friend who was in charge of taking care of everyone likely put too much C chem algae management in the tank which led to the nitrates bottoming out and the pH getting skewed. We have already changed about 40-45% of the water out of our 16 gallon tank and replaced it. Besides continuing to change the water, is there anything y’all can think of to get everything in better shape quickly?

Sorry. Water changes are the way to go. Vacations are tough.

I don’t know anything about the product you are dosing. I would do some research because I am skeptical of it to be honest.
