I've been wondering about this for a while since this zoa was floating around everywhere a few years ago. It grew OK for me for a few months and then melted. From others, it appears it's happened to them also. I've got a look a like right now, but it's not as big of a polyp as the VDM. Is this zoa still around?

Me too I have a look alike but its very small. I had what I'm fairly sure was an original and it floated off the plug, was attached to nothing and I couldn't glue it down. I actually found it twice and tried to glue again but 3rd time it floated away I never found it. The color was ridiculously intense, and had a more defined ring than most I see posted. But yeah I haven't seen many other than this lately.

I have one. It was a decent call long but it died back to just one polyp. Hoping it grows back out :(

Used to have em, melted. Anytime they come up for sale they appear to be fresh imports.
What's the longest anyone has kept them for successfully?

That guy?
:)

The one surviving polyp I have has been in my tank for a year.

I have an unknown issue in my tank. My zoas grow great for a while, then I lose a ton, then they grow great again.... and so on. I haven't had an issue with them aside from that.

I have some right now they are cool looking! Someone pointed me to this thread, I didn't even realize i had them. :p
