Valentini puffer acting abnormal last 2 weeks

Hi, sorry, the video wouldn’t play for me. Can you try linking to you tube? Also, we’ll need some background information, there is a link to what we need to know at the top of this section, and below my name here.

Sorry, I still can’t see the videos. Can you describe the issue and give us background info on the fish and the tank?

Jay ok so I did some reading on here n let me just say I told u I new to this whole saltwater hobby but I do love it n want to learn everything possible to learn all I can. I figured out the problem. I need to do a water change in my tank n added stress coat n ph 8.2 api brand. So now that my fish are ok my next question is how often do I need to do a water change on 30 gal tank n what percentage of water needs to be changed out I just did 10 gallonstoday.

As long as your pH is above around 7.9, and your ammonia level is below 0.25, you don't need to do any emergency water changes, and can then go into "maintenance mode". Maintenance water changes are then a balance of amount and frequency. I have one 16 gallon AIO tank that got out of hand in regards to nutrients, and the algae is out of control. I'm managing that by weekly 40% water changes for the time being. Most aquariums though, can be maintained with a more conservative change rate of around 20% every two weeks.
