Valentini Puffer and QT question

So, I have two clowns and a Valentini Puffer in QT (today is day 1). I plan on a six week QT for them. How do I go about adding shell fish for the VP so his teeth don't get out of control. I am concerned about the ammonia level. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

I put a feeder clam in twice a week when I had mine in QT. He didn't leave anything on the shell to turn into ammonia.

Mine never took to the clams, so I give him krill instead. He also nips at the rocks and powerhead cages to keep his tooth trim.

i have 2 puffers. one nips on rocks and clams and zoas. the other one nips on the rocks and clams.
